Who are the buyers ?

Les acheteurs des ventes aux enchères ont tous les profils et viennent d'horizons très divers. La simplicité d'organisation des enchères les rend accessibles à tous.

Notaries' auction sales are public sales and therefore open to all. The advertisements give the date and place of the sale and information on the properties to be sold.
Sales organised by the Paris Notaries' Chamber, far from being for only for insiders are, on the contrary, sales which anyone can bid.

  • Buyers vary considerably because auction sales offer all types of properties: from a 300 sq.m. flat with a garden to a service room, from commercial premises to industrial property, from development land to residential accommodation. These properties can be sold with vacant possession or with tenants and the buyers can be tenants or people who have nothing to do with the property.

  • These properties are located in Paris or elsewhere in France and the buyers come from everywhere and from all walks of life.

  • At the Paris Notaries' Chamber everything possible is done to make easy to participate in an auction.
Anyone can make their bids directly.
To show that they are serious about the auction everyone has to pay a deposit cheque. This is a single cheque up to a fixed price of € 125,000 and a deposit of € 25,000.

  • To prepare for the purchase, each buyer, whether a private individual or a professional makes enquiries with the seller's notary and if he wishes may also be assisted by the notary of his choice.

    Important point
  • Buyers come in all shapes and sizes and from all walks of life.
