The auction takes place under the guidance of an auction chairman, assisted by an official notary and two examining notaries. The bids are placed in accordance with the conditions of sale specified by the chairman at the start of the auction. Each bidder freely places his bids. Only those bidders who have a badge are permitted to place bids. After the auction chairman has set forth the general conditions of sale, the lots are, without exception, presented for sale according to the order listed in the official programme. For each property, the notary provides a description of the property, then the auction chairman opens the bidding. Bidders then freely place their bids via a hand gesture stating their badge number. The minimum amount of the bids are indicated in the property specifications. |
