How to buy ?

How to take part in the auctions ?

Meet at Place du Châtelet and let yourself by guided...

  • On the day of the auction, go along to the Paris Notaries' Chamber at 12, avenue Victoria - Place du Châtelet - 75001 Paris (Châtelet metro station, Place du Châtelet exit).

  • The notaries in charge of the different auctions are present in the deposit room half an hour before the start of the auction in order to greet you (i.e. at 2pm for an auction starting at 2.30pm).

  • To bid on the property that you are interested in you have to leave a cheque with the notary in charge of your auction, made out in his name, for the amount of the deposit requested (indicated in the advertisements and in the specification sheet).

  • The notary then asks you to prove your marital status by presenting him with a proof of identity or, for companies, a K.BIS extract and a cope of the memorandum and articles of association.
If you cannot attend on the day of the auction, ask the notary for a proxy form. Give this form to the person who will be representing you.

  • The notary will also ask you to sign two copies of a document called a "bidding authorisation". He will hand you this together with a numbered badge.

  • Once in possession of these documents, all that remains for you to do is to take your place in the auction room.

    Important to note
  • The auctions take place at the Paris Notaries' Chamber at 12, avenue Victoria - Place du Châtelet, 75001 Paris (Châtelet metro station, Place du Châtelet exit).
